Rick Scott is one of only a handful of authentic French Mat Makers in the world. He has been in the Picture Framing business since he graduated Saint Peter's Jesiut College with a double major in Fine Arts and Philosophy. He started his own Art Gallery and Picture Framing Shop in 1989. He has since mastered the fine art of making hand-painted archival reproductions of authentic 18th and 19th Century French Mats.

Mr. Scott has been selling them to the antique print and drawings trade for sixteen years. Among his clients are some of the most prestigious art dealers, museums and frame houses in New York and all around the world. His French Mats can be seen in many five star hotels including several Four Seasons Hotels.

Rick Scott's French Mats are draped around and preserving some of the most priceless works on paper in the world hanging in many museums including the Louvre in Paris. And you can also see them in the White House.
